Great barrier reefer Story
G’day and welcome to the Great Barrier Reefer medical dispensary. Sure the name is fun but it is more than just a play on words. You see, I’m David – the owner, and I grew up in Queensland Australia – home of the Great Barrier Reef.
I’m an Aussie boy at heart, growing up with python snakes, wild kangaroos, cattle ranches and of course, the beach. So you’re wondering – what in the world am I doing in Oklahoma?! Short answer – the game of baseball. I got a scholarship to play ball at the University of Central Oklahoma and this is where my life changed.
Now you might think that Oklahoma has nothing in common with Australia – there are no koala bears and certainly no beach, but the truth is – I have met some of the greatest, laid back, fun to hang out with people here, and they all seem to embody the same fun-loving spirit of my Aussie mates back home. Over the past ten years, this town has welcomed me with open arms and has also led me to the love of my life. I couldn’t think of a better place to start my own business, raise a family and grow old with some of the best people on the planet.
I want to bring the fun Aussie Vibe to my store when you come in and visit. Here at Great Barrier Reefer, we take pride in making sure we have the best products Oklahoma has to offer. We want to help people suffering from chronic pain, anxiety, insomnia, tremors, cancer, seizures, arthritis, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis and so much more. We also want to give people dealing with opioid addiction a safer and more natural alternative.
The medical world has finally acknowledged the astounding healing benefits of both cannabis and CBD oil and how it can drastically improve people’s well being. I want to be a part of that.
As we say in Australia, ‘just give us a go, Mate.’ Come on in to the store and make sure to say hello.
Although I might be an Aussie boy at heart, Oklahoma has me for life.
At Great Barrier Reefer we have been helping raise money for the tragic bush fires that have gone on in Australia, killing over a billion animals and over 25 people. Click below and see the collage we put together to say thank you to everyone who helped donate money. We are so thankful for your help mates.
